I was very curious how this scam works. He quoted me £250 — half upfront and the rest after the job, obviously as a Friends and Family PayPal payment :D
.
I googled him and couldn't find any negative feedback, so I decided to give it a try (I had a feeling I was throwing money away, but it wasn't a big sum, so I went ahead). The £250 was all he mentioned, and he never spoke of any additional costs or payments
.
Shortly after, he claimed he needed to "pay back" my last earnings to the "Uber server" for Uber "to recognize me as their driver" (lol). Of course, this was another PayPal transaction request:

.
It didn't go as planned when I told him my last Uber earnings were only £4.19. He started making up stories, saying it had to be for a month's worth of earnings, but the amount he requested was only for two weeks, based on what he saw on my bank screenshot. Obviously, he had no access to the actual Uber system and couldn't know my real earnings
.
When I called him a scammer, he almost started crying
and asked for my email to "send the money back"
. Guess what? I never saw that money; he was just making up new excuses.
